When fasting many people still ask, can I exercise if I am fasting?
Yes, you can exercise while fasting, if you are doing a short fasting regime, it won’t hurt you, it may take some time to adjust.
You may even feel more energetic.
If your fasting regime is longer then you may have to eat more protein and carbs to replenish your body on your normal meal days if you are doing rigorous exercise.
Protein protects your body especially if you do not want to lose muscle mass.

If you eat healthy food you will lose the desired weight more rapidly because you are eating to burn the fat.
If you eat fast food every time you are off the fasting your weight may remain the same if you are overindulging all the time.
There is plenty of food that is beneficial when you are not fasting and it helps you to lose weight while replenishing the body.
Avocados are high in calories but have monounsaturated fats, which make you feel full longer.
Fish is packed with protein, healthy fats and is good for the brain.
Vegetables like broccoli, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, are great full of fiber.
Potatoes are very good for you cause they keep you fuller longer.
Legumes and beans are good, they have plenty of fiber and give you energy.
Probiotics like sauerkraut, kombucha, kefir are good for fasting adjustment to the stomach.

Depends on which fasting regime you are on.
If you are doing the two-day fast and five normal meals then you can eat five hundred calories for women or six hundred calories for men.
And that is the only regime you can eat when fasting.
So you can have either vegetables, fruits. Very small amount.
So pick what will sustain you.
Remember to drink a lot of water, you can add a slice of lemon, cucumber, or orange to the water to give it a fresher taste.
You can not add any artificial sweeteners or sugars this would damage your fasting.
You can also drink coffee, but you can not add any sugar or milk to it.
Some people find that coffee upsets their stomach and if that happens they can drink tea but do not add cream or sugar.
You do have to avoid zero-calorie sodas because of the artificial sweeteners.
Coconut water or almond milk can not be consumed because of the sugar.
Only when you are off fasting can you drink it.
Can you drink alcohol when fasting?
No, because it has a lot of sugar and that can ruin your fast.
But on your off-fasting days, you may have a drink.
