Saying things like, ” I well take this one for the team” or ” Don’t want it to go to waste, so I will let it go to mine”, and many more sayings.
I have to admit I say that only when it is something I, really, like.
But what are some other excuses you tell yourselves, to eat that last piece of morsel left on the plate or plater?
Even though you slip once in a while. Don’t give up on the fight of the bulge.
If you were perfect, you would not be reading this book.
I would not be writing it, and we all would have the perfect body.
But unfortunately, that is not the case.
I can say to your defense that it is not all completely your fault because people pay people to make you desire what is in front of you.
Companies make a killing when it comes to encouraging people to overeat.
billboards, magazines, cell phones. Did I miss anything?
Remember a time when supersize me was popular and people were gaining weight like crazy.
If you were to keep a list of all you have eaten, what would it show?
Just a list! But if you would stand naked in front of the mirror and look at the list again, what would it show?
Nothing, the list is the same but your body would speak volumes.
How to keep yourself from overeating at an all-you-can-eat buffet.
I have to admit I loved eating at the buffet until one day, I sat near the buffet tables and watched people and especially their unsupervised kids.
Grown-ups coughing and not covering their mouth.
Kids tasting the food and putting it back because they didn’t like the taste.
sticking their fingers in the corn and mashed potatoes.
One kid even scratched his butt and then touched all the rolls!
I even let the server know what I just witnessed and she said there is nothing she could do.
From there on I keep away from buffets.
Never went back.
But a few months later I did see they went out of business.
Anxiety, depression, loneliness. Many of you eat as a form of self-medicating, like talking to a friend but instead it is food.
Reach out when you feel these emotions start to build up inside you.
Play music to get your vibes lifted and happy.
Sing in a joyful voice out loud it does not matter who is listening.
When I feel depressed and I need to cry so I watch a sad movie.
It helps me to release trapped emotions.
Once I cry it relieves me of loneliness, depression, and anxiety.
But the hardest time of the year is the following which is, Thanksgiving, Christmas, NewYears.
Those are the holidays that everyone is happiest when you are around friends and family.
Enjoying their company and food is abundant.
and the excuses are fly out of your mouth like firecrackers on the fourth of July.
Meaning the holidays are for celebrating. Enjoy!
